miniDSP 2×4 HD with Raspberry Pi Streamer
Pretty killer for the price, with a Dirac Live enabled version coming out as well.
Admittedly, the cabling on tiny boxes like these is not the most elegant…

Can you directly use the minidsp’s usb input from volumio or RuneAudio? HifiBerry is not needed at all? Any problems with this setup?

Sorry for the late reply. No, there was some issue between the USB on the Pi and the miniDSP and I never really followed up since. I need to try it with the latest firmware in case something has changed. I suppose TOSLINK might work with a suitable HAT but haven’t tried it.
To follow up again, this issue was fixed awhile back now.
